Overview 

The Central Pennsylvania Region of the Sports Car Club of America is proud to announce the Third annual Cone Killer Classic Weekend! This 2 day event is packed with a lot of excitement and has some unique features.

• Friday July 18th, $1 Non-competition runs
• Saturday & Sunday, July 19th and 20th, course design by SCCA Solo national course designer and 4-time national champion Sam Strano.
• Pre-registration is due by July 3rd, 2008.

Registration

Please note that unlike the rest of our regular season events, pre-registration for the Cone Killer is required. Pre-registration closes at the end of day, Tuesday July 3rd and is limited to 120 competitors, so please plan ahead! If you're coming for the whole weekend, you need to pre-register for both days separately. You may also pre-register by contacting Lauren Mohar (below). Registration is $35/day ($70 for the weekend) for SCCA members and $45/day ($90 for the weekend) for non-members. Friday non-comps are $1/run and Saturday non-comps are $2/run (no pre-registration required for non-comps) for members and non-members alike.

Location

The Cone Killer is held at Mid-State Regional Airport in Philipsburg, PA. Directions to the airport can be found here. Camping is available at the Airport for Friday and Saturday nights and is free. We will be using the runway for both Saturday and Sunday's courses!

Features

• A 2008 Cone Killer Classic t-shirt will be provided to each person competing in both days of the event.
• Free Saturday dinner for weekend competitors prepared by CPR member, Gary Gurchik. Guest may purchase a dinner ticket for $10.00.
• Awards will be given for both days, as well as special trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers for the overall weekend event.
• Camping available Friday and Saturday evenings.

Schedule

Friday, July 18

9:00 AM: Site preparation and setup, volunteers welcome!
1:00 PM - 4:00 PM: $1/run Fun Runs, no registration required. Runs will be on a non-runway course.

Saturday, July 19

8:00 AM - 9:30 AM: Check-in, tech inspection and course walk.
9:45 AM: Mandatory driver's meeting.
10:00 AM: First car off.
Awards ceremony following the end of competition runs.
Non-comp runs following the end of the awards ceremony.

Sunday, July 20

8:00 AM - 9:30 AM: Check-in, tech inspection and course walk.
9:45 AM: Mandatory driver's meeting.
10:00 AM: First car off.
Awards ceremony following end of competition runs.
