2007 Rallycross Schedule

Although a rallycross season was planned for 2007, we were not able to formalize and proceed with a schedule. Plans are still under way for a 2008 Rallycross season.

WHAT IS A RALLYCROSS?

Imagine a scaled down version of a performance rally stage laid out on a non-paved plot of land where the course, like autocrossing, is delineated by traffic cones instead of trees or rocks. The entry fees and equipment requirements are considerably less than those necessary to enter any other forms of performance rally. For this event, you can arrive with only a sound, hardtop vehicle and the entry fee.  Like our autocross events, we will assist the first time rallycross competitors with entering the appropriate class, making their way through technical inspection and finding their way around the course.

Unlike autocross, where an entrant's ranking is based on the single fastest run, the Rallycross competition is judged on the total timing over multiple runs.

OTHER RALLYCROSS INFORMATION

2007 RallyCross Rules - This year's SCCA RallyCross Rulebook

We recommend that you bring warm clothes. It gets COLD in Central PA and the temperature can swing 20 degrees from one day to the next. It's better to be overdressed than underdressed...

Also, it'd be a good idea to be equipped with snow tires (although not required, this is a snowy course, and it helps A LOT to have extra grip).  NO home-made studded tires (i.e. bolts in tires)!
